The Avio’s Castle is a property of FAI the talian Environmental Fund.
Laying on the hills on the right bank of the Adige river the Castle, with its mighty battlements, has been dominating the lower Vallagarina for centuries.
From Torbole, Nago until you get to Loppio one of the most important and famous protected biotopes in Trentino. The bike path is easily accessible and you have relatively demanding slopes only near the Passo S.Giovanni (288m). There rest of the bike path to Avio, is always surrounded by mountains, cultivated fields, vineyards.
Once at the beneath the castle we will walk along a path to the castle with our E-bike.
Following a narrow paved road through the vineyards, you come to the Romanesque tower, entrance to the upper castle. I will guide and tell you the history of the castle, one of the most well-known in Trentino.
A visit to the castle is certainly very interesting from a point of view both artistic and historical, to say nothing about the landscape. After the visit, we will pick up the picnic basket at the castle Restaurant “La Locanda” and enjoy it in the shade of the vineyards.

-Sneakers or shoes with a good grip and protected toes
-Comfortable clothes allowing you to breath and move freely
-Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses
-A jacket for the evening tour
-Waterproof jacket (when weather is rainy)
-Backpack for your personal items (we can also provide one though)
-Your allergy pills or medication, if you are under a treatment
